FAQ

I generally tutor in private one-on-one sessions.  That way a student can receive the attention needed to succeed best.  In some cases, if all parties agree, I will tutor two students during a session.

How many students will be tutored at a time?

I have been tutoring students for over 10 years.  My students range from middle school to university, but are primarily in high school.

01 /

How long have I been tutoring?

Students needs to bring a notebook, pencil, calculator, and classroom assignment (or topic of concern).  To make the session most efficient, students should inform me of the topic prior to the session.

What does the student need to bring to the
tutoring session?
What is the policy for cancellations and late starts?

Students may schedule appointments as frequently or as infrequently as they wish. No commitment or minimum is required. Students who are late for a lesson will not necessarily be able to make up the missed time by staying longer since there may be another session immediately following.  All appointments must be cancelled at least 90 minutes before your appointment is scheduled to occur or else full lesson fees may apply.

First, to determine the student's strengths and weaknesses a diagnostics test will be given. Next, a schedule will be set up for sessions. I recommend we start from 8-10 weeks out from the test date to best prepare.

How does the ACT preparation work?

I primarily meet with my students at the main branch of the Saint Louis County Library.  I also offer online tutoring for students.
